Make tempStorageDirectory configuration optional and rely on task dir instead (#17015)
Currently, durable storage and export both require configuring a temporary directory to be used using druid.export.storage.<connectorType>.tempLocalDir and druid.msq.intermediate.storage.tempDir.

Tasks on middle manager already have a configured temporary directory. This PR aims to reduce the configuration required by using the task directory as a default if it is not explicitly configured, thus reducing the number of configs that a user has to set.

Please note that preference would be given to the user configured, druid.*.storage.temp*Dir, on the tasks. If that is not configured, we then use the configured temporary directory.

Overlord and brokers also require storage connector configurations (for the durableStorageCleanerOverlordDuty and to fetch results of async queries respectively), but do not have a default temporary task directory. The configuration is still required for these services.

Segments sorted by non-time columns. (#16849)
* Segments primarily sorted by non-time columns.

Currently, segments are always sorted by __time, followed by the sort
order provided by the user via dimensionsSpec or CLUSTERED BY. Sorting
by __time enables efficient execution of queries involving time-ordering
or granularity. Time-ordering is a simple matter of reading the rows in
stored order, and granular cursors can be generated in streaming fashion.

However, for various workloads, it's better for storage footprint and
query performance to sort by arbitrary orders that do not start with __time.
With this patch, users can sort segments by such orders.

For spec-based ingestion, users add "useExplicitSegmentSortOrder: true" to
dimensionsSpec. The "dimensions" list determines the sort order. To
define a sort order that includes "__time", users explicitly
include a dimension named "__time".

For SQL-based ingestion, users set the context parameter
"useExplicitSegmentSortOrder: true". The CLUSTERED BY clause is then
used as the explicit segment sort order.

In both cases, when the new "useExplicitSegmentSortOrder" parameter is
false (the default), __time is implicitly prepended to the sort order,
as it always was prior to this patch.

The new parameter is experimental for two main reasons. First, such
segments can cause errors when loaded by older servers, due to violating
their expectations that timestamps are always monotonically increasing.
Second, even on newer servers, not all queries can run on non-time-sorted
segments. Scan queries involving time-ordering and any query involving
granularity will not run. (To partially mitigate this, a currently-undocumented
SQL feature "sqlUseGranularity" is provided. When set to false the SQL planner
avoids using "granularity".)

Changes on the write path:

1) DimensionsSpec can now optionally contain a __time dimension, which
controls the placement of __time in the sort order. If not present,
__time is considered to be first in the sort order, as it has always
   been.

2) IncrementalIndex and IndexMerger are updated to sort facts more
flexibly; not always by time first.

3) Metadata (stored in metadata.drd) gains a "sortOrder" field.

4) MSQ can generate range-based shard specs even when not all columns are
singly-valued strings. It merely stops accepting new clustering key
fields when it encounters the first one that isn't a singly-valued
string. This is useful because it enables range shard specs on
"someDim" to be created for clauses like "CLUSTERED BY someDim, __time".

Changes on the read path:

1) Add StorageAdapter#getSortOrder so query engines can tell how a
   segment is sorted.

2) Update QueryableIndexStorageAdapter, IncrementalIndexStorageAdapter,
and VectorCursorGranularizer to throw errors when using granularities
   on non-time-ordered segments.

3) Update ScanQueryEngine to throw an error when using the time-ordering
  "order" parameter on non-time-ordered segments.

4) Update TimeBoundaryQueryRunnerFactory to perform a segment scan when
   running on a non-time-ordered segment.

5) Add "sqlUseGranularity" context parameter that causes the SQL planner
to avoid using granularities other than ALL.

Other changes:

1) Rename DimensionsSpec "hasCustomDimensions" to "hasFixedDimensions"
and change the meaning subtly: it now returns true if the DimensionsSpec
represents an unchanging list of dimensions, or false if there is
some discovery happening. This is what call sites had expected anyway.

Add query context parameter to remove null bytes when writing frames (#16579)
MSQ cannot process null bytes in string fields, and the current workaround is to remove them using the REPLACE function. 'removeNullBytes' context parameter has been added which sanitizes the input string fields by removing these null bytes.

Add validation for reindex with realtime sources (#16390)
Add validation for reindex with realtime sources.

With the addition of concurrent compaction, it is possible to ingest data while querying from realtime sources with MSQ into the same datasource. This could potentially lead to issues if the interval that is ingested into is replaced by an MSQ job, which has queried only some of the data from the realtime task.

This PR adds validation to check that the datasource being ingested into is not being queried from, if the query includes realtime sources.

Add storeCompactionState flag support to msq (#15965)
Compaction in the native engine by default records the state of compaction for each segment in the lastCompactionState segment field. This PR adds support for doing the same in the MSQ engine, targeted for future cases such as REPLACE and compaction done via MSQ.

Note that this PR doesn't implicitly store the compaction state for MSQ replace tasks; it is stored with flag "storeCompactionState": true in the query context.

MSQ: Validate that strings and string arrays are not mixed. (#15920)
* MSQ: Validate that strings and string arrays are not mixed.

When multi-value strings and string arrays coexist in the same column,
it causes problems with "classic MVD" style queries such as:

select * from wikipedia -- fails at runtime
select count(*) from wikipedia where flags = 'B' -- fails at planning time
select flags, count(*) from wikipedia group by 1 -- fails at runtime

To avoid these problems, this patch adds type verification for INSERT
and REPLACE. It is targeted: the only type changes that are blocked are
string-to-array and array-to-string. There is also a way to exclude
certain columns from the type checks, if the user really knows what
they're doing.

Allow empty inserts and replaces in MSQ. (#15495)
* Allow empty inserts and replace.

- Introduce a new query context failOnEmptyInsert which defaults to false.
- When this context is false (default), MSQE will now allow empty inserts and replaces.
- When this context is true, MSQE will throw the existing InsertCannotBeEmpty MSQ fault.
- For REPLACE ALL over an ALL grain segment, the query will generate a tombstone spanning eternity
which will be removed eventually be the coordinator.
- Add unit tests in MSQInsertTest, MSQReplaceTest to test the new default behavior (i.e., when failOnEmptyInsert = false)
- Update unit tests in MSQFaultsTest to test the non-default behavior (i.e., when failOnEmptyInsert = true)

* Ignore test to see if it's the culprit for OOM

* Add heap dump config

* Bump up -Xmx from 1500 MB to 2048 MB

* Add steps to tarball and collect hprof dump to GHA action

* put back mx to 1500MB to trigger the failure

* add the step to reusable unit test workflow as well

* Revert the temp heap dump & @Ignore changes since max heap size is increased

* Minor updates

Account for data format and compression in MSQ auto taskAssignment (#14307)
### Description

This change allows for consideration of the input format and compression when computing how to split the input files among available tasks, in MSQ ingestion, when considering the value of the `maxInputBytesPerWorker` query context parameter. This query parameter allows users to control the maximum number of bytes, with granularity of input file / object, that ingestion tasks will be assigned to ingest. With this change, this context parameter now denotes the estimated weighted size in bytes of the input to split on, with consideration for input format and compression format, rather than the actual file size, reported by the file system. We assume uncompressed newline delimited json as a baseline, with scaling factor of `1`. This means that when computing the byte weight that a file has towards the input splitting, we take the file size as is, if uncompressed json, 1:1. It was found during testing that gzip compressed json, and parquet, has scale factors of `4` and `8` respectively, meaning that each byte of data is weighted 4x and 8x respectively, when computing input splits. This weighted byte scaling is only considered for MSQ ingestion that uses either LocalInputSource or CloudObjectInputSource at the moment. The default value of the `maxInputBytesPerWorker` query context parameter has been updated from 10 GiB, to 512 MiB

MSQ: Subclass CalciteJoinQueryTest, other supporting changes. (#14105)
* MSQ: Subclass CalciteJoinQueryTest, other supporting changes.

The main change is the new tests: we now subclass CalciteJoinQueryTest
in CalciteSelectJoinQueryMSQTest twice, once for Broadcast and once for
SortMerge.

Two supporting production changes for default-value mode:

1) InputNumberDataSource is marked as concrete, to allow leftFilter to
   be pushed down to it.

2) In default-value mode, numeric frame field readers can now return nulls.
This is necessary when stacking joins on top of joins: nulls must be
preserved for semantics that match broadcast joins and native queries.

3) In default-value mode, StringFieldReader.isNull returns true on empty
strings in addition to nulls. This is more consistent with the behavior
of the selectors, which map empty strings to null as well in that mode.

As an effect of change (2), the InsertTimeNull change from #14020 (to
replace null timestamps with default timestamps) is reverted. IMO, this
is fine, as either behavior is defensible, and the change from #14020
hasn't been released yet.

Composed intermediate super sorter (which was enabled by composedIntermediateSuperSorterStorageEnabled) is now enabled automatically if durableShuffleStorage is set to true. intermediateSuperSorterStorageMaxLocalBytes is calculated from the limit set by the run time parameter druid.indexer.task.tmpStorageBytesPerTask.

* Frames: Ensure nulls are read as default values when appropriate.

Fixes a bug where LongFieldWriter didn't write a properly transformed
zero when writing out a null. This had no meaningful effect in SQL-compatible
null handling mode, because the field would get treated as a null anyway.
But it does have an effect in default-value mode: it would cause Long.MIN_VALUE
to get read out instead of zero.

Also adds NullHandling checks to the various frame-based column selectors,
allowing reading of nullable frames by servers in default-value mode.
