Uwe Schindler 39e727069b LUCENE-3738: DataInput/DataOutput no longer allow negative vLongs. vInts are still supported (for index backwards compatibility), but should not be used in new code. The read method for negative vLongs was already broken since Lucene 3.1

Apache Lucene/Solr

lucene/ is a search engine library
solr/ is a search engine server that uses lucene
modules/ is shared code

To compile the sources run 'ant compile'
To run all the tests run 'ant test'
To setup your ide run 'ant idea' or 'ant eclipse'
For Maven info, see dev-tools/maven/README.maven.
