Jason van Zyl ae1501b9f6 o collecting all logging/eventing into the core. i posted a list of possible errors that can occur in the core, the stuff we had was only partially being use and we problems being emitted with messages like: NOTE: One or more purely derived expression elements were detected in this expression. If you continue to get this error after any other expression elements are specified correctly please report this issue to the Maven development team. I think we have to make a very concerted effort to make useful messages because I'm tired of standing behind Maven users and being embarrassed when they look at me and ask "what does that mean?". Installing Maven 2
==================

The following instructions show how to install Maven 2:

1) Unpack the archive where you would like to store the binaries, eg:
  tar zxvf maven-2.0.tar.gz
or
  unzip maven-2.0.zip

2) A directory called "maven-2.0" will be created.

3) Add the bin directory to your PATH, eg:
  export PATH=/usr/local/maven-2.0/bin:$PATH
or
  set PATH="c:\program files\maven-2.0\bin";%PATH%

4) Make sure JAVA_HOME is set to the location of your JDK

5) Run "mvn --version" to verify that it is correctly installed.
