desrosj 13c66b1b18 Media: Store audio creation date in meta. 
In [41746], `wp_get_media_creation_timestamp()` was introduced to read the created timestamp for videos from `getID3` in meta whenever possible. This information is useful separately from the dates on the file itself.

This adds the same support audio files by utilizing `wp_get_media_creation_timestamp()` in `wp_read_audio_metadata()`.

Gary Pendergast 56c162fbc9 Coding Standards: Upgrade WPCS to 1.0.0 
WPCS 1.0.0 includes a bunch of new auto-fixers, which drops the number of coding standards issues across WordPress significantly. Prior to running the auto-fixers, there were 15,312 issues detected. With this commit, we now drop to 4,769 issues.

This change includes three notable additions:
- Multiline function calls must now put each parameter on a new line.
- Auto-formatting files is now part of the `grunt precommit` script. 
- Auto-fixable coding standards issues will now cause Travis failures.

Sergey Biryukov 669f8bb750 Media: Remove unnecessary `aria-required` attribute from legacy (pre-3.5.0) media functions, added in [7888]. 
At the time, having both `required` and `aria-required` meant a wider range of support for browsers and assistive technology. Today, it's safe to use just `required`.

Gary Pendergast c90cfa3b50 General: Fix some precision alignment formatting warnings. 
The WPCS `WordPress.WhiteSpace.PrecisionAlignment` rule throws warnings for a bunch of code that will likely cause issues for `wpcbf`. Fixing these manually beforehand gives us better auto-fixed results later.

Gary Pendergast a779284c00 General: Reformat inline `if ()` statements inside HTML tags. 
This pattern occurs a handful of times across the codebase:

`<div class="foo<?php if ( $bar ) { echo ' baz'; } ?>">`

Unfortunately, it doesn't really play nicely with `phpcbf`, so all instances need to be removed in preperation for auto code formatting.

Gary Pendergast 0847fab645 Media: Don't backdate media uploaded to pages. 
When media is uploaded to a post, the upload directory is set according to the date of the post, so that the media URLs in the post match when the post was published.

A page is a slightly different beast, pages often live for years, and are regularly updated to stay relevant. This change causes media uploaded to pages to use the upload date to determine the upload directory.

Mike Schroder e8a1a7ab2b Media: Store video creation date in meta. 
When able to be parsed, store the created date for a video file from meta,
since this is useful separately from the dates on the file itself.

Introduces `wp_get_media_creation_timestamp()` to read the timestamp from
getID3 and a `wp_read_video_metadata` filter analogous to
`wp_read_image_metadata`.

Joe McGill 682ec35fbc Media: Ensure 'media_handle_upload()' returns 'WP_Error' on failure. 
This fixes an issue where failures when inserting the attachment post via
`wp_insert_attachment()` would result in a return value of `0` instead of a
`WP_Error` object, as documented. This is addressed by passing `true` as the 
fourth param (added in WP 4.7.0) when calling `wp_insert_attachment()`.

Mike Schroder a8e304ec8e Media: Add support for rendering PDF thumbnails. 
When support for PDFs is available, on upload,
render 'Thumbnail', 'Medium', 'Large', and 'Full' sizes of
the first page, and save them in attachment meta.

Use these renders within Add Media, Media Gallery and List views,
Attachment Details, Post/Attachment Edit screens, and Attachment pages.

Support available by default via Imagick -> ImageMagick -> Ghostscript,
but can be provided by any `WP_Image_Editor` that supports PDFs.

Joe McGill 498040b809 Media: Use `wp_basename()` to create attachment titles from filenames. 
In [38294], `pathinfo()` was used with the `PATHINFO_BASENAME` constant to
get the basename of the file to be used as an attachment title, which depends
on PHP locale and can cause issues with UTF-8 characters. This uses
`wp_basename()` instead, which is a more i18n-friendly version of `basename()`.

Andrea Fercia eeefec932f Administration: Improve the usage of the button CSS classes. 
Introduces some consistency in the usage of the button CSS classes, fixes the
focus style for accessibility and responsiveness of the buttons.

- Adds the `button` class to all primary buttons make them responsive
- Removes all `secondary-button` classes and replaces it with button when needed. `button-secondary` shouldn't be used and exists just for backward compatibility reasons
- Replaces classes inside `submit_button()` with a shorthand for some buttons, and use an empty string for the default `button` class. Passing `button` is unnecessary
- Adjusts `get_submit_button()` to remove empty items

Dominik Schilling 25e66e4f1e Text Changes: Unify permission error messages. 
The new format looks like "Sorry, you are not allowed to <action>.". This provides a consistent experience for all error messages related to missing permissions. It also reduces the number of similar strings and allows translators to provide a consistent style in their language.

This adds a new action hook, `wp_edit_form_attachment_display` to
`edit_form_image_editor()`, which can be used as a fallback to render
previews of an attachment that isn't an image, audio, or video file
included in the media library.

`admin-filters.php`
`ms-admin-filters.php`

There are random actions and filters littered among files like `misc.php`. These files contain functions that won't work outside of admin context and are typically only loaded in files that have already loaded the admin bootstrap.

Scott Taylor 8f0b626d13 Introduce a function, `wp_attachment_is( $type, $post = 0 )`, to collapse the logic for determining whether an attachment is an `image`, `audio`, or `video`. 
This is admittedly a first pass. There needs to be a generic handler for when any other type is passed, but for now it accepts the whitelist.

Scott Taylor 57dbc55e6e When setting the poster image for a video shortcode, set that image as the featured image for that attachment (if found) in the background. This AJAX functionality could be used for audio as well. 
Introduces `attachment_url_to_postid()` to attempt to turn URLs into post IDs.

Andrew Ozz 69b74a75cd Plupload: switch to urlstream upload method when the 'flash' runtime is used in non IE browsers. This ensures cookies are sent but limits the maximum file size that flash can handle. 
By default only IE9 and older use flash so this change is mostly for completeness. It would affect only the (extremely rare) cases where a plugin disables the html5 runtime.

Scott Taylor 03dda3b273 Introduce `maybe_regenerate_attachment_metadata( $attachment )`. On the Edit Media screen, call it for Audio and Video files. 
The functions checks if the item is lacking metadata altogether. If a video or audio file was uploaded prior to 3.6, it does not have any metadata. This tries to fix it. Implements locking via a transient to protect against this running in parallel with another request.

This is the minimum viable product for #26825, but leaving the ticket open unless this function needs to be called in other places.
