From 61f39e6c92ddbfb7dcf117f790e92abed93c91a4 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Nicholas Knize Date: Thu, 19 Nov 2015 11:14:12 -0600 Subject: [PATCH] GeoPointV2 update docs and query builders This commit updates the documentation for GeoPointField by removing all references to the coerce and doc_values parameters. DocValues are enabled in lucene GeoPointField by default (required for boundary filtering). The QueryBuilders are updated to automatically normalize points (ignoring the coerce parameter) for any index created onOrAfter version 2.2. --- .../index/query/GeoBoundingBoxQueryBuilder.java | 4 ++-- .../index/query/GeoDistanceQueryBuilder.java | 4 ++-- .../index/query/GeoDistanceRangeQueryBuilder.java | 2 +- .../index/query/GeoPolygonQueryBuilder.java | 4 ++-- docs/reference/mapping/types/geo-point.asciidoc | 11 ----------- .../query-dsl/geo-bounding-box-query.asciidoc | 3 --- docs/reference/query-dsl/geo-distance-query.asciidoc | 5 ----- docs/reference/query-dsl/geo-polygon-query.asciidoc | 3 --- 8 files changed, 7 insertions(+), 29 deletions(-) diff --git a/core/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/index/query/GeoBoundingBoxQueryBuilder.java b/core/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/index/query/GeoBoundingBoxQueryBuilder.java index 05c2a74bb9f..2c906dc7cb1 100644 --- a/core/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/index/query/GeoBoundingBoxQueryBuilder.java +++ b/core/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/index/query/GeoBoundingBoxQueryBuilder.java @@ -250,7 +250,8 @@ public class GeoBoundingBoxQueryBuilder extends AbstractQueryBuilder use prefix encoded postings format diff --git a/core/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/index/query/GeoDistanceQueryBuilder.java b/core/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/index/query/GeoDistanceQueryBuilder.java index 784c924efcf..b11b57df175 100644 --- a/core/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/index/query/GeoDistanceQueryBuilder.java +++ b/core/src/main/java/org/elasticsearch/index/query/GeoDistanceQueryBuilder.java @@ -219,18 +219,18 @@ public class GeoDistanceQueryBuilder extends AbstractQueryBuilder>:: - - Normalize longitude and latitude values to a standard -180:180 / -90:90 - coordinate system.
