David Turner 423697f414 Default to zero replicas for searchable snapshots (#57802)
Today a mounted searchable snapshot defaults to having the same replica
configuration as the index that was snapshotted. This commit changes this
behaviour so that we default to zero replicas on these indices, but allow the
user to override this in the mount request.

Pre-compile inline scripts in Ingest Script processors (#57960) (#58130)
This commit introduces an optimization for inline scripts.
It keeps the compiled ingest script that the ScriptProcessor.Factory
has been creating for validation purposes. Previously, the Script Service's
cache was leveraged because it was the best way to handle caching of both
stored and inline scripts. Since inline scripts are so widely used in
Ingest Node, it is probably best to ensure we are using the pre-compiled version
from the beginning.

This commit clarifies that the `expand_wildcards` option (as well as other

Also clarifies the connection between `expand_wildcards` and hidden indices as
it relates to snapshots.

Add JNA license to SQL CLI dependency licenses
Previously we excluded requiring licenses for dependencies with the
group name org.elasticsearch under the assumption that these use the
top-level Elasticsearch license. This is not always correct, for
example, for the org.elasticsearch:jna dependency as this is merely a
wrapper around the upstream JNA project, and that is the license that we
should be including. A recent change modified this check from using the
group name to checking only if the dependency is a project
dependency. This exposed the use of JNA in SQL CLI to this check, but
the license for it was not added. This commit addresses this by adding
the license.

[ML] allow feature_names to be optional in ensemble inference model (#58059) (#58067)
This has `EnsembleInferenceModel` not parse feature_names from the XContent.

Instead, it will rely on `rewriteFeatureIndices` to be called ahead time.

Consequently, protections are made for a fail fast path if `rewriteFeatureIndices` has not been called before `infer`.

Fix issue with bwc tests running wrong cluster versions (#58063)
We were previously configuring BWC testing tasks by matching on task
name prefix. This naive approach breaks down when you have versions like
1.0.1 and 1.0.10 since they both share a common prefix. This commit
makes the pattern matching more specific so we won't inadvertently
spin up the wrong cluster version.

Skip max_buckets test when it is flaky (#58038)
Before #57042 the max_buckets test would consistently pass because the
request would consistently fail. In particular, the request would fail on
the data node. After #57042 it only fails on the coordinating node. When
the max_buckets test is run in a mixed version cluster it consistently
fails on *either* the data node or the coordinating node. Except when
the coordinating node is missing #43095. In that case if the one data
node has #57042 and one does not, *and* the one that doesn't gets the
request first, fails it as expected, and then the coordinating node
retries the request on the node with #57042. When that happens the
request fails mysteriously with "partial shard failures" as the error
message but not partial failures reported. This is *exactly* the bug
fixed in #43095.

This updates the test to be skipped in mixed version clusters without
#43095 because they *sometimes* fail the test spuriously. The request
fails in those cases, just like we expect, but with a mysterious error
message.

Fix ExtraFS Breaking SharedClusterSnapshotRestoreIT (#58026) (#58040)
If `ExtraFS` decides to put `extra0/0` into the indices folder

and not an actual shard directory).

=> simplified the logic to use actually referenced `IndexId` for iterating over indices
instead.

Give significance lookups their own home (backport of #57903) (#57959)
This moves the code to look up significance heuristics information like
background frequency and superset size out of
`SignificantTermsAggregatorFactory` and into its own home so that it is
easier to pass around. This will:
1. Make us feel better about ourselves for not passing around the
factory, which is really *supposed* to be a throw away thing.
2. Abstract the significance lookup logic so we can reuse it for the
   `significant_text` aggregation.
3. Make if very simple to cache the background frequencies which should
speed up when the agg is a sub-agg. We had done this for numerics
   but not string-shaped significant terms.
