This new snapshot contains the following JIRAs that we're interested in:

Better handling of small documents. This should improve retrieval times
when documents are less than ~1kB.

Faster flushes when index sorting is enabled by not compressing the
temporary files that store stored fields and term vectors.

- Make test runtime classpath input for testing convention
- required as java library will by default not have build jar file

Another Jackson release is available. There are some CVEs addressed,
none of which impact us, but since we can now bump Jackson easily, let
us move along with the train to avoid the false positives from security
scanners.
* Introduce a query builder for the rest tests
The new BaseRestSqlTestCase.RequestObjectBuilder class is a helper class
to build REST request objects for the tests. Consequently, "manual" string
concatenation to form JSON is done away with.
The class mimics SqlQueryRequestBuilder API.

* Relax version lock between ES/SQL and clients
Allow older-than-server clients to connect, if these are past or on a
certain min release.

Currently forbidden apis accounts for 800+ tasks in the build. These
tasks are aggressively created by the plugin. In forbidden apis 3.0, we
will get task avoidance
(https://github.com/policeman-tools/forbidden-apis/pull/162), but we
need to ourselves use the same task avoidance mechanisms to not trigger
these task creations. This commit does that for our foribdden apis
usages, in preparation for upgrading to 3.0 when it is released.
Upgrade to lucene 8.5.1 release that contains a bug fix for a bug that might introduce index corruption when deleting data from an index that was previously shrunk.
Re-applies the change from #53523 along with test fixes.

Lucene 8.5.0 release candidates are imminent. This commit upgrades master to use
the latest snapshot to check that there are no last-minute bugs or regressions.
This commit adds a new request object field, "version", containing the version of the requesting client. This parameter is now accepted - and for certain clients required - by the server and the request is validated against it. Currently server's and client's versions still need to be equal in order for the request to be accepted. Relaxing this check is going to be part of future work.
On the clients' side, the only check remaining is to ensure that the peer server is supporting version backwards compatibility (i.e. is on, or newer than a certain release).

While we use `== false` as a more visible form of boolean negation
(instead of `!`), the true case is implied and the true value does not
need to explicitly checked. This commit converts cases that have slipped
into the code checking for `== true`.
* REST PreparedStatement-like query parameters are now supported in the form of an array of non-object, non-array values where ES SQL parser will try to infer the data type of the value being passed as parameter.

*Most* of our parsing can be done without passing any extra context into
the parser that isn't already part of the xcontent stream. While I was
looking around at the places that *do* need a context I found a few
places that were declared to need a context but don't actually need it.
Backport of #48849. Update `.editorconfig` to make the Java settings the
default for all files, and then apply a 2-space indent to all `*.gradle`
files. Then reformat all the files.
* Introduce binary_format request parameter (binary.format for JDBC) to disable binary
communication between clients (jdbc/odbc) and server.
* for CLI - "binary" command line parameter (or -b) is introduced. Default value is "true".
