Previously the compiler would ignore everything in the attribute
name after the first dot. For example
<div [attr.someAttr.attrSuffix]="var"></div>
is turned into <div someAttr="varValue"></div>.
This commit ensures that whole attribute name is captured.
Now <div [attr.someAttr.attrSuffix]="var"></div>
is turned into <div someAttr.attrSuffix="varValue"></div>
PR Close#32256
Previously, we had tested that expressions parsed in a Render3 AST
had correctly-defined absolute spans (spans relative to the entire
template, not the local expression). Sometimes we use Template ASTs
rather than Render3 ASTs, and it's desirable to test for correct
expression spans in the template parser as well.
Adding these tests resolved one bug, similar to the one fixed in
fd4fed14d8, where expressions in the value
of a template attribute were not given an absolute span corresponding to
the start of the attribute name rather than the start of the attribute
value.
The diff on this commit is large, partially because it involves some
structural changes of the template parser testing layout. In particular,
the following is done:
1. Move `createMeta*`-like functions from `template_parser_spec.ts` to
be exported from a new test utility file.
2. Create an `ExpressionSourceHumanizer`, similar to the one created in
b04488d692, to allow convenient testing
of expressions' locations.
3. Create `template_parser_absolute_span_spec.ts`, testing the spans of
expressions parsed by the template parser. This is very similar to
the `r3_ast_absolute_span_spec`.
PR Close#33253
Template AST nodes for (bound) attributes, variables and references will
now retain a reference to the source span of their value, which allows
for more accurate type check diagnostics.
PR Close#30181
When template bindings are being parsed the event handlers
were receiving a source span that included the whole attribute.
Now they get a span that is focussed on the handler itself.

BREAKING CHANGE:
The `<template>` tag was deprecated in Angular v4 to avoid collisions (i.e. when
using Web Components).
This commit removes support for `<template>`. `<ng-template>` should be used
instead.

PR Close#22783
Structural directives can now specify a type guard that describes
what types can be inferred for an input expression inside the
directive's template.
NgIf was modified to declare an input guard on ngIf.
After this change, `fullTemplateTypeCheck` will infer that
usage of `ngIf` expression inside it's template is truthy.
For example, if a component has a property `person?: Person`
and a template of `<div *ngIf="person"> {{person.name}} </div>`
the compiler will no longer report that `person` might be null or
undefined.
The template compiler will generate code similar to,
```
if (NgIf.ngIfTypeGuard(instance.person)) {
instance.person.name
}
```
to validate the template's use of the interpolation expression.
Calling the type guard in this fashion allows TypeScript to infer
that `person` is non-null.

PR Close#20702
This speeds up the compilation process significantly.
Also introduces a new option `fullTemplateTypeCheck` to do more checks in templates:
- check expressions inside of templatized content (e.g. inside of `<div *ngIf>`).
- check the arguments of calls to the `transform` function of pipes
- check references to directives that were exposed as variables via `exportAs`
PR Close#19152
BREAKING CHANGE: the compiler option `enableLegacyTemplate` is now disabled by default as the `<template>` element has been deprecated since v4. Use `<ng-template>` instead. The option `enableLegacyTemplate` and the `<template>` element will both be removed in Angular v6.

After this, neither @angular/compiler nor @angular/comnpiler-cli depend
on @angular/core.
This add a duplication of some interfaces and enums which is stored
in @angular/compiler/src/core.ts
BREAKING CHANGE:
- `@angular/platform-server` now additionally depends on
`@angular/platform-browser-dynamic` as a peer dependency.
PR Close#18683
This change allows users to specify multiple exportAs names for a
directive by giving a comma-delimited list inside the string.
The primary motivation for this change is to allow these names to be
changed in a backwards compatible way.
This change allows ReflectiveInjector to be tree shaken resulting
in not needed Reflect polyfil and smaller bundles.
Code savings for HelloWorld using Closure:
Reflective: bundle.js: 105,864(34,190 gzip)
Static: bundle.js: 154,889(33,555 gzip)
645( 2%)
BREAKING CHANGE:
`platformXXXX()` no longer accepts providers which depend on reflection.
Specifically the method signature when from `Provider[]` to
`StaticProvider[]`.
Example:
Before:
```
[
MyClass,
{provide: ClassA, useClass: SubClassA}
]
```
After:
```
[
{provide: MyClass, deps: [Dep1,...]},
{provide: ClassA, useClass: SubClassA, deps: [Dep1,...]}
]
```
NOTE: This only applies to platform creation and providers for the JIT
compiler. It does not apply to `@Compotent` or `@NgModule` provides
declarations.
Benchpress note: Previously Benchpress also supported reflective
provides, which now require static providers.
DEPRECATION:
- `ReflectiveInjector` is now deprecated as it will be remove. Use
`Injector.create` as a replacement.
closes#18496
* refactor(core): provide error message in stack for reflective DI
Fixes#16355
* fix(compiler): make AOT work with `noUnusedParameters`
Fixes#15532
* refactor: use view engine also for `NgModuleFactory`s
This is a prerequisite for being able to mock providers
in AOTed code later on.
* feat(common): support `as` syntax in template/* bindings
Closes#15020
Showing the new and the equivalent old syntax.

- `*ngFor="var item of itemsStream |async as items”`
=> `*ngFor="var item of itemsStream |async; let items = ngForOf”`
* feat(common): convert ngIf to use `*ngIf="exp as local“` syntax
* feat(common): convert ngForOf to use `*ngFor=“let i of exp as local“` syntax
* feat(common): expose NgForOfContext and NgIfContext
