We need to support rendering in contexts like web workers where
nodes are emulated and properties may not be set directly. This
commit gates property validation checks to environments that have
real Node objects.

With ed1ba88ffd9d0fc266808413fa517e7a31943bc8 we switched the
examples to run with Bazel. This means that we can now also run the
e2e tests for these examples against Ivy. All playground e2e tests,
**except** the `web_worker` examples, successfully run with Ivy.
The failing webworker e2e tests have been temporarily disabled with
`fixmeIvy` and need to be investigated in a follow-up.

I have deliberately not touched any of the symbol names as that would cause big merge collisions with Tobias's work.
All the renames are in .md, .json, and inline comments and jsdocs.

* chore: update protractor and selenium-webdriver packages
As `karma-jasmine` has a peer dependency on `jasmine-core@2.3`, but `jasmine` and `protractor` are using `jasmine-core@2.4` we need to add `jasmine-core@2.3` explicitly. Previously, the peer dependency was
satisfied by accident because npm deduped the dependency
for `jasmine-core@2.3` as top level dependency.
Note that the shrink-wrap files changes quite a bit because
of the deduping mechanism of npm.
* fix(benchpress): make it work with latest protractor and seleniuv-webdriver
* fix(e2e_tests): make them work with latest protractor
The testing_e2e util does not belong in platform-browser and was never
intended to be a public API. Move it out of that whole tree.
BREAKING CHANGE:
The following API was never intended to be public and is removed:
```js
import {verifyNoBrowserErrors} from '@angular/platform-browser/testing_e2e';
```
Consider using Protractor's console plugin: https://github.com/angular/protractor-console-plugin
This is part of ongoing work to make core platform-independent.
BREAKING CHANGE
All private exports from 'angular2/src/core/facade/{lang,collection,exception_handler}' should be replaced with 'angular2/src/facade/{lang,collection,exception_handler}'.
The directory contains code authored in a style that makes it transpilable to dart. As such, these are not idiomatic examples of Angular 2 usage.
The main purpose of this directory is to enable experimentation with Angular within the angular/angular repository.
