# Bounded blocking

## Overview

The default buffer. Memory-based.

Option | Required | Type | Description
:--- | :--- | :--- | :---
buffer_size | No | Integer | The maximum number of records the buffer accepts. Default is `512`.
batch_size | No | Integer | The maximum number of records the buffer drains after each read. Default is `8`.
