Alan Agius 8b5ca670ad refactor(core): update migrations descriptions (#33440)
With the next version of the CLI we don't need to add logging for the description of the schematic as part of the schematic itself.

This is because now, the CLI will print the description defined in the `migrations.json` file.

Paul Gschwendtner 335854f6bc fix(core): missing-injectable migration should not update type definitions (#33286)
Currently the `missing-injectable` migration seems to add
`@Injectable()` to third-party classes in type definitions.

This not an issue in general since we do not generate broken code
by inserting a decorator into a type definition file. Though, we can
avoid adding the decorator since it won't have any effect and in
general we should not write to non source files of the compilation unit.

Paul Gschwendtner 4d23b60d09 fix(core): missing-injectable migration should not migrate providers with "useExisting" (#33286)
We should not migrate the reference from `useExisting`. This is because
developers can only use the `useExisting` value as a token. e.g.

```ts
@NgModule({
  providers: [
    {provide: AppRippleConfig, useValue: rippleOptions},
    {provide: MAT_RIPPLE_OPTIONS, useExisting: AppRippleConfig},
  ]
})
export class AppModule {}
```

In the case above, nothing should be decorated with `@Injectable`. The
`AppRippleConfig` class is just used as a token for injection.

Paul Gschwendtner eeecbf28e4 fix(core): missing-injectable migration should handle forwardRef (#33286)
Currently the migration is unable to migrate instances where
the provider definition uses `forwardRef`. Since this is a
common pattern, we should support that from within the migration.

The solution to the problem is adding a foreign function resolver
to the `PartialEvaluator`. This basically matches the usage of
the static evaluation that is used by the ngtsc annotations.

Adam Plumer 56731f624a feat(core): add ModuleWithProviders generic type migration (#33217)
Static methods that return a type of ModuleWithProviders currently
do not have to specify a type because the generic falls back to any.
This is problematic because the type of the actual module being
returned is not present in the type information.

Since Ivy uses d.ts files exclusively for downstream packages
(rather than metadata.json files, for example), we no longer have
the type of the actual module being created.

For this reason, a generic type should be added for
ModuleWithProviders that specifies the module type. This will be
required for all users in v10, but will only be necessary for
users of Ivy in v9.

Kara Erickson f289411fa9 docs(core): add migration guide links to schematics (#33258)
Angular v9 schematics should print out a link to the migration
guide associated with each schematic. This way, users have an
easy way to find more information about the automatic code
transformations they will see with `ng update`.

Paul Gschwendtner 5557dec120 refactor(core): missing-injectable migration should respect providers of directives and components (#33011)
Currenly the `missing-injectable` migration only migrates providers referenced from
`@NgModule` definitions. The schematic currently does not cover the migration for
providers referenced in `@Directive` or `@Component` definitions.

We need to handle the following keys for directives/components:

- `@Directive` -> `providers`
- `@Component` -> `providers` and `viewProviders`.

This commit ensures that the migration handles providers for these
definitions.

Keen Yee Liau adb562bca6 fix(language-service): create StaticReflector once only (#32543)
The creation of StaticReflector in createMetadataResolver() is a very expensive operation because it involves numerous module resolutions.
To make matter worse, since the API of the Reflector does not provide the ability to invalidate its internal caches, it has to be destroyed and recreated on *every* program change.
This has a HUGE impact on performance.
This PR fixes this problem by carefully invalidating all StaticSymbols in a file that has changed, thereby reducing the overhead of recomputation on program change.

Paul Gschwendtner 6f5f481fda refactor(core): undecorated-classes-with-di migration should ignore referenced resources (#32953)
Currently the undecorated-classes-with-di migration leverages NGC in order
to work with metadata resolution. Since NGC by default tries to resolve referenced
resources on initialization of the underlying TS program, it can result in unexpected
migration failures due to missing resource files.

This is especially an issue since the CLI wraps the `AngularCompilerProgram` with
special logic (i.e. to support SCSS preprocessing etc.). We don't have all of this since
we instantiate a vanilla NGC program.

The solution to the problem is to simply treat resource requests as valid, and returning
a fake content. The migration is not dependent on templates or stylesheets.. so it's the
simplest and most robust solution.

Paul Gschwendtner 90dda5873a test(core): remove "enableIvy" compiler option from migration tests (#32954)
ec4381d explicitly set `enableIvy: false` for all migrations inside
the core package. This actually hides migration issues because the
migration itself should ensure that it instantiates the right
compiler program if it relies on `@angular/compiler-cli`.

We should remove these options from all migration tests to
ensure that we catch issues with migrations running in version
9 where Ivy is enabled by default.

e.g. e5636a322c
was accidentally hidden due to the `enableIvy: false` option.

Paul Gschwendtner 7503e3540d refactor(core): static-queries migration should never use ngtsc (#32954)
ec4381d enabled Ivy by default. This is problematic as migrations
like `static-queries` depend on the `AngularCompilerProgram` (NGC)
in order to perform the migration from version 7 to version 8.

In order to ensure that the migration always runs with NGC
(and doesn't get the `NgtscProgram`), we need to explicitly disable
ivy when creating the `@angular/compiler-cli` program for the migration.

This code is still relevant even though the update from version 7
to version 8 landed. Developers can run `ng update` from version 7
and immediately get to version 9 where Ivy is enabled by default (and in
that case we need to ensure that ngtsc is not accidentally used).

Adds a schematic that will remove the explicit `static: false` flag from dynamic queries. E.g.

Paul Gschwendtner c56c2416a9 refactor(core): undecorated-classes-with-decorated-fields migration commits empty updates (#32391)
Commit 904a2018e0 introduced a new migration for
undecorated classes with decorated Angular class members. Currently the migration
always calls `tree.beginUpdate` and `tree.commitUpdate` (even if there are no changes).

This causes unnecessary updates to be reported to developers running `ng update`. Once
an update is commited, the CLI will report the update regardless of whether any changes were
made or not.

This behavior can be observed in the `ng_update_migrations` integration test. See:
https://circleci.com/gh/angular/angular/438470#tests/containers/3. Notice how all
source files are denoted as `UPDATED` (even though there are no changes).

Paul Gschwendtner 60a056d5dc refactor(core): undecorated classes migration should not decorate classes if not needed (#32319)
Currently the undecorated classes migration decorates base classes if no
explicit constructor is defined on all classes in the inheritance chain.

We only want to decorate base classes which define a constructor that is
inherited. Additionally for best practice, all classes in between the class
that inherits the constructor and the one that defines it are also decorated.

Paul Gschwendtner 543631f2b3 refactor(core): undecorated-classes migration should properly construct object literal from metadata (#32319)
The `undecorated-classes-with-di` migration currently creates invalid object literals from parsed
NGC metadata files if there are object literal properties with keys that contain special characters.

e.g. consider a decorated base class with a host binding using `[class.X]`. Currently the migration
parses and converts the metadata to TypeScript code but incorrectly uses `[class.X]` unquoted as
identifier.

Alex Rickabaugh ec4381dd40 feat: make the Ivy compiler the default for ngc (#32219)
This commit switches the default value of the enableIvy flag to true.
Applications that run ngc will now by default receive an Ivy build!

This does not affect the way Bazel builds in the Angular repo work, since
those are still switched based on the value of the --define=compile flag.
Additionally, projects using @angular/bazel still use View Engine builds
by default.

Since most of the Angular repo tests are still written against View Engine
(particularly because we still publish VE packages to NPM), this switch
also requires lots of `enableIvy: false` flags in tsconfigs throughout the
repo.

Congrats to the team for reaching this milestone!

Paul Gschwendtner 639b732024 refactor(core): remove disabled injectable-pipe migration (#32184)
Initially the plan was to have a migration that adds `@Injectable()` to
all pipes in a CLI project so that the pipes can be injected in Ivy
similarly to how it worked in view engine.

Due to the planned refactorings which ensure that `@Directive`, `@Component`
and `@Pipe` also have a factory definition, this migration is no longer
needed for Ivy. Additionally since it is already disabled (due to
572b54967c) and we have a more generic
migration (known as `missing-injectable)` that could do the same as
`injectable-pipe`, we remove the migration from the code-base.

Paul Gschwendtner 024c31da25 feat(core): add undecorated classes migration schematic (#31650)
Introduces a new migration schematic that follows the given
migration plan: https://hackmd.io/@alx/S1XKqMZeS.

First case: The schematic detects decorated directives which
inherit a constructor. The migration ensures that all base
classes until the class with the explicit constructor are
properly decorated with "@Directive()" or "@Component". In
case one of these classes is not decorated, the schematic
adds the abstract "@Directive()" decorator automatically.

Second case: The schematic detects undecorated declarations
and copies the inherited "@Directive()", "@Component" or
"@Pipe" decorator to the undecorated derived class. This
involves non-trivial import rewriting, identifier aliasing
and AOT metadata serializing
(as decorators are not always part of source files)

Paul Gschwendtner 684579b338 build: create google3 migration tests bazel target (#31817)
Creates a separate bazel target for the google3 migration
tests. The benefit is that it's faster to run tests for
public migrations in development. Google3 lint rules are
usually another story/implementation and the tests are quite
slow due to how TSLint applies replacements.

Additionally if something changes in the google3 tslint rules,
the tests which aren't affected re-run unnecessarily.

Paul Gschwendtner 9f2ae5d6ff feat(ivy): introduce missing-injectable migration for google3 (#30956)
Introduces a new migration schematic for adding the "@Injectable()"
decorator to provider classes which are currently not migrated. Previously
in ViewEngine, classes which are declared as providers sometimes don't
require the "@Injectable()" decorator
(e.g. https://stackblitz.com/edit/angular-hpo7gw)

With Ivy, provider classes need to be explicitly decorated with
the "@Injectable()" decorator if they are declared as providers
of a given module. This commit introduces a migration schematic
which automatically adds the explicit decorator to places where
the decorator is currently missing.

The migration logic is designed in a CLI devkit and TSlint agnostic
way so that we can also have this migration run as part of a public
CLI migration w/ `ng update`. This will be handled as part of a follow-up to reiterate on console output etc.

crisbeto c0955975f4 feat(core): add automatic migration from Renderer to Renderer2 (#30936)
Adds a schematic and tslint rule that automatically migrate the consumer from `Renderer` to `Renderer2`. Supports:
* Renaming imports.
* Renaming property and method argument types.
* Casting to `Renderer`.
* Mapping all of the methods from the `Renderer` to `Renderer2`.

Note that some of the `Renderer` methods don't map cleanly between renderers. In these cases the migration adds a helper function at the bottom of the file which ensures that we generate valid code with the same return value as before. E.g. here's what the migration for `createText` looks like.

Before:
```
class SomeComponent {
  createAndAddText() {
    const node = this._renderer.createText(this._element.nativeElement, 'hello');
    node.textContent += ' world';
  }
}
```

After:
```
class SomeComponent {
  createAndAddText() {

Paul Gschwendtner 70ad91ed8b refactor(compiler): recursive ast expression visitor not passing context (#31085)
Currently the `RecursiveAstVisitor` that is part of the template expression
parser does not _always_ properly pass through the context that can be
specified when visting a given expression. Only a handful of AST types
pass through the context while others are accidentally left out. This causes
unexpected and inconsistent behavior and basically makes the `context`
parameter not usable if the type of template expression is not known.

e.g. the template variable assignment migration currently depends on
the `RecursiveAstVisitor` but sometimes breaks if developers use
things like conditionals in their template variable assignments.

fix(@schematics/angular): TypeScript related migrations should cater for BOM

In the CLI `UpdateRecorder` methods such as `insertLeft`, `remove` etc.. accepts positions which are not offset by a BOM. This is because when a file has a BOM a different recorder will be used https://github.com/angular/angular-cli/blob/master/packages/angular_devkit/schematics/src/tree/recorder.ts#L72 which caters for an addition offset/delta.

The main reason for this is that when a developer is writing a schematic they shouldn't need to compute the offset based if a file has a BOM or not and is handled out of the box.

Example
```ts
recorder.insertLeft(5, 'true');
```

However this is unfortunate in the case if a ts SourceFile is used and one uses `getWidth` and `getStart` method they will already be offset by 1, which at the end it results in a double offset and hence the problem.

Paul Gschwendtner d72479b628 docs(core): template-var-assignment schematic should link to deprecation guide (#30702)
Instead of linking to a markdown file explaining what the migration warnings
are about, we should link to the deprecation guide which now also contains
an entry for that schematic. This makes the deprecation explanations
consistent and more centralized.

8479cb4233 updated the static-query migration
to refer to the new guide on AIO. Unfortunately these URLs are currently not
valid as the guide is only available on `next.angular.io` right now. In order to
make the link work permanently (e.g. if we eventually remove the guide in future
major versions), we use the permalink from the `v8` subdomain.

Paul Gschwendtner 132c61dfd4 refactor(core): static-query migration should warn about syntax failures (#30628)
Currently if a project has source-files with syntax failures and the migration
has been started on a broken project, we silently migrate *as much as possible*,
but never notify the developer that the project was in a broken state and that
he can re-run the migration after the failures are fixed.

Additionally the template strategy does not need to exit gracefully if it detects
Angular semantic diagnostics on generated files (template type checking). These
diagnostics are not relevant for the query timing analysis.

We are removing the prompt for the `static-query` migration and make the
template strategy the migration strategy for the migration. The usage
strategy is good for best-practices, but for now we want to ensure that
the migration is a seamless as possible and that is only achievable my
re-using the same logic that View Engine uses for determining the
timing of a query.

Paul Gschwendtner f74e0fd825 refactor(core): migrations should parse cli workspace config as json5 (#30582)
Currently we try to parse CLI workspace configurations gracefully by
using the native `JSON.parse()` method. This means that the CLI workspace
configuration needs to follow the strict JSON specification because otherwise
the migrations would not be able to find TypeScript configurations in the CLI
project where JSON5 workspace configurations are supported.

In order to handle such workspace configurations, we leverage the JSON
parsing logicfrom the `@angular-devkit/core` which is also used by the CLI.

Currently if something fails in the selected strategy (e.g. AOT failures),
the migration currently accidentally falls back to the test strategy. This
is not helpful as we want to give developers the possibility to re-run
the migration after fixing potential AOT failures.

Paul Gschwendtner 6ceb9034dc fix(core): static-query migration errors not printed properly (#30458)
Apparently the devkit logger is not able to properly print
out error objects, so we need to convert them to a string
before in order to make the error visible to the user.

Paul Gschwendtner 8d3365e4fc fix(core): static-query usage migration strategy should detect ambiguous query usage (#30215)
Currently we always just set the timing to `false` if we aren't
able to analyze a given call expression or new expression. e.g.

```ts
ngOnInit() {
  thirdPartyCallSync(() => this.query.doSomething())
}
```

In that case the `thirdPartyCallSync` function comes from the `node_modules`
and is only defined through types while there is no code for the
actual function logic that can be analyzed. This makes it impossible
to tell whether the given call expression actually causes the specified
arrow function to be executed synchronously or not. In order to be able
to make this better, we now peek into the passed arrow function and
check for a synchronous query usage. If so, we set the query timing to
static and mark it as ambiguous. This ensures that the usage strategy is
less "magical" and more correct with third-party code.

Additionally since functions like `setTimeout` are not analyzable but known
to be asynchronous, there is a hard-coded list of known functions which
shouldn't be marked as ambiguous.

Paul Gschwendtner 0ffdb48f62 fix(core): static-query migration should handle queries on accessors (#30327)
Currently the static-query migration ignores queries declared on getters
or setters as these are not part of a `PropertyDeclaration`. We need to
handle these queries in order to cover all queries within a given project.

The usage strategy is not able to detect timing for queries on accessors,
so we add a TODO and print a message. The template strategy is able
to detect the proper timing for such queries because it's not dependent
on detecting the usage of the query.

Paul Gschwendtner 509352fc36 fix(core): static-query migration should gracefully exit if AOT compiler throws (#30269)
The static-query template strategy leverages the AOT compiler
in order to determine the query timing. Unfortunately the AOT
compiler has open bugs that can cause unexpected failures which
make the template strategy unusable in rare cases. These rare
exceptions need to be handled gracefully in order to avoid confusion
and to provide a more smooth migration.

Additionally migration strategy setup failures are now reported with
stack traces as the `ng update` command does not print stack traces.
This makes it easier to reproduce and report migration issues.

Paul Gschwendtner 349935a434 fix(core): migrations not always migrating all files (#30269)
In an Angular CLI project scenario where projects only reference
top-level source-files through the `tsconfig` `files` option, we currently
do not migrate referenced source-files. This can be fixed checking all
referenced source-files which aren't coming from an external library.

This is similar to how `tslint` determines project source-files.

Paul Gschwendtner f094bb54a7 test(core): run schematic tests with public migration collection (#30198)
572b54967c changed how the schematic
tests are executed. Tests no longer use the schematic collection
that is also used by the CLI `ng update` command and therefore
the migration collection could  technically be invalid.

In order to ensure that the public migration collection is guaranteed
to work and to avoid duplication within two schematic collections, the
changes are partially reverted and only the disabled `injectable-pipe`
schematic has its own collection.

Paul Gschwendtner 4c12d742dc fix(core): static-query migration should not prompt if no queries are used (#30254)
Currently we always prompt when the static-query migration runs. This is not
always needed because some applications do not even use `ViewChild` or
`ContentChild` queries and it just causes confusion if developers need to
decide on a migration strategy while there is nothing to migrate.

In order to avoid this confusion, we no longer prompt for a strategy
if there are no queries declared within the project.

Paul Gschwendtner 164d160b22 refactor(core): static-query migrations fails if options cannot be transformed (#30178)
Currently the `static-query` migrations fails at the final step of
updating a query when the query already specifies options which
cannot be transformed easily. e.g. the options are computed through
a function call: `@ViewChild(..., getQueryOpts());` or `@ViewChild(..., myOptionsVar)`.

In these cases we technically could add additionally logic to update
the query options, but given that this is an edge-case and it's
potentially over-engineering the migration schematic, we just
always add a TODO for the timing and print out the determined
query timing in the console. The developer in that case just needs
to manually update the logic for the query options to contain the
printed query timing.

Disables the injectable pipe migration until we can decide whether this is the right solution for Ivy. Rolling it out properly will involve a more detailed plan and more changes like updating the styleguide, scaffolding schematics etc.

Context for the new `test-migrations.json`: since we use the `migrations.json` both for the real migrations and for tests, it doesn't allow us to disable a schematic, but continue running its tests. This change adds the test-specific file so that we can continue running the `injectable-pipe` tests, even though the schematic itself is disabled.

crisbeto 6f433887e0 fix(ivy): injectable pipe schematic generating incorrect import statements (#30170)
Currently the injectable pipe schematic generates invalid imports like `import import { Pipe, PipeTransform, Injectable } from '@angular/core'; from '@angular/core';`. The issue wasn't caught by the unit tests, because the invalid import still contains the valid one.

Paul Gschwendtner 364250e7a6 refactor(core): static-query migration should not fail for test files (#30034)
Currently when someone runs `ng update` with the static-query migration,
the migration can fail with an error saying that the `AOT` compiler could not
be created. This can happen if the CLI project contains a test `tsconfig.json`
that is picked up by the schematic.

Due to the fact that spec tsconfig files cannot be ran with NGC (e.g. test
components are not part of a module; not all source files are guaranteed to
be included), test `tsconfig` projects will now use a new `test` migration
strategy where all queries within tests are left untouched and a TODO is added.

Currently the `template-var-assignment` migration incorrectly warns if
the template writes to a property in the component that has the same
`ast.PropertyWrite´ name as a template input variable but different
receiver. e.g.

<button *ngFor="let element of list" (click)="someProp.element = null">Reset</button>
```

Similarly if an output writes to a component property with the same name as a
template input variable, but the expression is within a different template scope,

Paul Gschwendtner c1d5fbd0ad refactor(core): static-query template strategy should not parse stylesheets (#29876)
Currently the `template-strategy` for the static query migration uses the
Angular compiler in order to determine the query timing. This is problematic
as the AngularCompilerProgram also collects metadata for referenced
component stylesheets which aren't necessarily present. e.g. in a CLI
project the component can reference a Sass file. It's not guaranteed
that the standalone Angular compiler plugin supports Sass without
custom logic that is brought in by the Angular CLI webpack plugin.

In order to avoid any failures for invalid stylesheets, we just disable
normalizing of all referenced stylesheets.

Paul Gschwendtner ca591641c7 refactor(core): allow developers to select static-query migration strategy (#29876)
Currently there are two available migration strategies for the `static-query`
schematic. Both have benefits and negatives which depend on what the
developer prefers. Since we can't decide which migration strategy is the
best for a given project, the developer should be able to select a specific
strategy through a simple choice prompt.

In order to be able to use prompts in a migration schematic, we need to
take advantage of the "inquirer" package which is also used by the CLI
schematic prompts (schematic prompts are usually only statically defined
in the schema). Additionally the schematic needs to be made "async"
because with prompts the schematic can no longer execute synchronously
without implementing some logic that blocks the execution.

Paul Gschwendtner b0c1282fbe refactor(core): migrations do not properly handle multiple templates in source file (#29841)
Currently if there are multiple source files within a given
TypeScript source file, only the last template in the source
file is checked as we store templates in a `Map` with the
source file paths as keys.

This is problematic as multiple templates can live within the
same source file and we therefore accidentally overwrite
existing entries in the resolved templates map.

Paul Gschwendtner 5b32f55a3a refactor(core): static-query schematic should check templates (#29713)
Queries can technically be also accessed within component templates
e.g.

```html
<my-comp [binding]="myQuery"></my-comp>
```

In that case the query with the property "myQuery" is accessed
statically and needs to be marked with `static: true`. There are
other edge cases that need to be handled as the template property
read doesn't necessarily resolve to the actual query property.

For example:

```html
<foo #myQuery></foo>
<my-comp [binding]="myQuery"></my-comp>
```

In this scenario the binding doesn't refer to the actual query
because the template reference variable takes precedence. The
query doesn't need to be marked with "static: true" this time.

This commit ensures that the `static-query` migration schematic
now handles this cases properly. Also template property reads
that access queries from within a `<ng-template>` are ignored
as these can't access the query before the view has been initialized.

for `8.0.0` which does not include any betas or release candidates. We want to
run the schematic in the beta's and RC in order to get early feedback about the
schematics. Enabling it promptly with V8 stable release can result in accidental
breakages that we would like to fix/identify before.

Queries can not only be accessed within derived classes, but also in
the super class through abstract methods. e.g.

Currently the static-query schematic is not able to properly handle
call expressions that pass function declarations that access a given
query. e.g.

```ts
ngOnInit() {
  this._callFunction(() => this.myQuery.doSomething());
}

_callFunction(cb: any) { cb(); }
```

In that case the passed function is executed synchronously in
the "ngOnInit" lifecycle and therefore the query needs to be
detected as "static".

We can fix this by keeping track of the current function context
and using it to resolve identifiers to the passed arguments.

Paul Gschwendtner 00bf636afa refactor(core): static-query schematic should handle binary expressions (#29663)
Currently we only check getters for property access expressions. This is wrong
because property access expressions do not always cause the "getter" to be
triggered. e.g.

```ts
set a() {...}
get a() {...}

ngOnInit() {
  this.a = true;
}
```

In that case the schematic currently incorrectly checks the "getter", while this is a binary
expression and the property access is used as left-side of the binary expression. In that
case we need to check the setter declaration of the property and not the "getter". In order
to fix this, we need to also check `ts.BinaryExpression` nodes and check getters/setters
based on the used operator token. There are three types of binary expressions:

1) Value assignment (using `=`). In that case only the setter is triggered.
2) Compound assignment (e.g. using `+=`). In that case `getter` and `setter` are triggered.
3) Comparison (e.g. using `===`). In that case only the getter is triggered.

Paul Gschwendtner 6d35c5094a test(core): add test for template variable object property assignment (#29708)
The `template-var-assignment` schematic currently complains if someone
assigns a value to a template variable. This will no longer work with Ivy, but
it should be totally fine to update a property of the template variable if it refers
to an object. This commit adds a test that ensures that we don't incorrectly report
any failure for such property writes in bound events.

Filipe Silva 96b76dc3f1 fix(core): add missing migration to npm package (#29705)
While running `ng update @angular/core --next`, the following error would be displayed:

```

This happened because the Schematics migration was referenced, but not included.

This commit fixes that bug by including the migration in the Bazel npm package dependencies.

Paul Gschwendtner 33016b8929 fix(core): static-query schematic should detect static queries in getters. (#29609)
Queries can also be statically accessed within getters. e.g.

```ts
ngOnInit() {
  this.myQueryGetter.doSomething();
}
```

In that case we need to check if the `myQueryGetter` definition accesses
a query statically. As we need to use the type checker for every property acess
within lifecylce hooks, the schematic might become slower than before, but considering
that this is a one-time execution, it is totally fine using the type-checker extensively.

Paul Gschwendtner 4742385e95 refactor(core): fix misleading tslint schematic message (#29320)
Fixes the incorrect failure message or the TSLint rule that
is used within Google. The TSLint rule is not part of the
public schematic code.

Additionally in order to make it easier to understand what
action the developer needs to take, we rather print out the
expected "static: true/false" statement instead of saying that
a query needs to be static or dynamic. Dynamic is ambiguous, as
there is no `dynamic: true` option.

With 6215799, we introduced a schematic for the new static-query timing.
Currently when someone runs the update schematic manually within his
CLI project (the schematic does not run automatically yet), he might have
noticed that the migration is executed for the same `tsconfig` file multiple
times. This can happen because the `getProjectTsConfigPaths` function
can incorrectly return the same tsconfig multiple times. The paths are not
properly deduped as we don't normalize the determined project tsconfig paths

Currently the static-query migration does not properly handle functions which
are declared externally. This is because we don't resolve the symbol of the
call-expression through its type. Currently we just determine the symbol of the
call-expression through the given call expression node, which doesn't necessarily
refer to the *value declaration* of the call expression. e.g. the symbol refers to the
import declaration which imports the external function. This means that we currently
can't check the external function as we couldn't find the actual value declaration.
We can fix this by resolving the type of the call expression and using the type in order
to retrieve the symbol containing the *value declaration*

Paul Gschwendtner 3c53713616 refactor(core): static query schematic should handle asynchronous query usages properly (#29133)
With 6215799055, we introduced a schematic
for the Angular core package that automatically migrates unexplicit
query definitions to the explicit query timing (static <-> dynamic).

As the initial foundation was already big enough, it was planned
to come up with a follow-up that handles asynchronous query
usages properly. e.g. queries could be used in Promises,
`setTimeout`, `setInterval`, `requestAnimationFrame` and more, but
the schematic would incorrectly declare these queries as static.

This commit ensures that we properly handle these micro/macro
tasks and don't incorrectly consider queries as static.

The declaration usage visitor should only check the synchronous
control flow and completely ignore any statements within function
like expressions which aren't explicitly executed in a synchronous
way. e.g. IIFE's still work as the function expression is
synchronously invoked.

Paul Gschwendtner 6215799055 feat(core): update schematic to migrate to explicit query timing (#28983)
Introduces an update schematic for the "@angular/core" package
that automatically migrates pre-V8 "ViewChild" and "ContentChild"
queries to the new explicit timing syntax. This is not required
yet, but with Ivy, queries will be "dynamic" by default. Therefore
specifying an explicit query timing ensures that developers can
smoothly migrate to Ivy (once it's the default).
