Pete Bacon Darwin f640a4a494 fix(ivy): i18n - turn on legacy message-id support by default (#33053)
For v9 we want the migration to the new i18n to be as
simple as possible.

Previously the developer had to positively choose to use
legacy messsage id support in the case that their translation
files had not been migrated to the new format by setting the
`legacyMessageIdFormat` option in tsconfig.json to the format
of their translation files.

Now this setting has been changed to `enableI18nLegacyMessageFormat`
as is a boolean that defaults to `true`. The format is then read from
the `i18nInFormat` option, which was previously used to trigger translations
in the pre-ivy angular compiler.

Pete Bacon Darwin bcbf3e4123 feat(ivy): i18n - render legacy message ids in `$localize` if requested (#32937)
The `$localize` library uses a new message digest function for
computing message ids. This means that translations in legacy
translation files will no longer match the message ids in the code
and so will not be translated.

This commit adds the ability to specify the format of your legacy
translation files, so that the appropriate message id can be rendered
in the `$localize` tagged strings. This results in larger code size
and requires that all translations are in the legacy format.

Going forward the developer should migrate their translation files
to use the new message id format.

Pete Bacon Darwin 9188751adc fix(ivy): i18n - do not render message ids unnecessarily (#32867)
In an attempt to be compatible with previous translation files
the Angular compiler was generating instructions that always
included the message id. This was because it was not possible
to accurately re-generate the id from the calls to `$localize()` alone.

In line with https://hackmd.io/EQF4_-atSXK4XWg8eAha2g this
commit changes the compiler so that it only renders ids if they are
"custom" ones provided by the template author.

NOTE:

When translating messages generated by the Angular compiler
from i18n tags in templates, the `$localize.translate()` function
will compute message ids, if no custom id is provided, using a
common digest function that only relies upon the information
available in the `$localize()` calls.

This computed message id will not be the same as the message
ids stored in legacy translation files. Such files will need to be
migrated to use the new common digest function.

This only affects developers who have been trialling `$localize`, have
been calling `loadTranslations()`, and are not exclusively using custom
ids in their templates.

Pete Bacon Darwin 357aa4a097 fix(ivy): i18n - use `MessageId` for matching translations (#32594)
As discussed in https://hackmd.io/33M5Wb-JT7-0fneA0JuHPA `SourceMessage`
strings are not sufficient for matching translations.

This commit updates `@angular/localize` to use `MessageId`s for translation
matching instead.

Also the run-time translation will now log a warning to the console if a
translation is missing.

BREAKING CHANGE:

Translations (loaded via the `loadTranslations()` function) must now use
`MessageId` for the translation key rather than the previous `SourceMessage`
string.

Pete Bacon Darwin 673ac2945c refactor(compiler): use `options` argument for parsers (#28055)
This commit consolidates the options that can modify the
parsing of text (e.g. HTML, Angular templates, CSS, i18n)
into an AST for further processing into a single `options`
hash.

This makes the code cleaner and more readable, but also
enables us to support further options to parsing without
triggering wide ranging changes to code that should not
be affected by these new options. Specifically, it will let
us pass information about the placement of a template
that is being parsed in its containing file, which is essential
for accurate SourceMap processing.

Carlos Ortiz Garcia e99d860393 feat(compiler): add "original" placeholder value on extracted XMB (#25079)
Update XMB placeholders(<ph>) to include the original value on top of an
example. Placeholders can by definition have one example(<ex>) tag and a
text node. The text node is used by TC as the "original" value from the
placeholder, while the example should represent a dummy value.
For example: <ph name="PET"><ex>Gopher</ex>{{ petName }}</ph>.
This change makes sure that we have the original text, but it *DOES NOT*
make sure that the example is correct. The example has the same wrong
behavior of showing the interpolation text rather than a useful
example.

No breaking changes, but tools that depend on the previous behavior and
don't consider the full XMB definition may fail to parse the XMB.

Tobias Bosch edd5f5a333 perf(compiler): make the creation of `ts.Program` faster. (#19275)
We now create 2 programs with exactly the same fileNames and
exactly the same `import` / `export` declarations,
allowing TS to reuse the structure of first program
completely. When passing in an oldProgram and the files didn’t change,
TS can also reuse the old program completely.

This is possible buy adding generated files to TS
in `host.geSourceFile` via `ts.SourceFile.referencedFiles`.

This commit also:
- has a minor side effect on how we generate shared stylesheets:
  - previously every import in a stylesheet would generate a new
    `.ngstyles.ts` file.
  - now, we only generate 1 `.ngstyles.ts` file per entry in `@Component.styleUrls`.
This was required as we need to be able to determine the program files
without loading the resources (which can be async).
- makes all angular related methods in `CompilerHost`
optional, allowing to just use a regular `ts.CompilerHost` as `CompilerHost`.
- simplifies the logic around `Compiler.analyzeNgModules` by introducing `NgAnalyzedFile`.

This code only runs in ES5 mode in the test suite, so this is difficult to test.

Tobias Bosch 5c34066058 fix(compiler): only warn for `@Injectable` classes with invalid args.
In v2.x, users had to annotate classes that they intended to use as tokens with `@Injectable`. This is no longer required in v4.x for tokens,
and we now require the constructor parameters of classes annotated
with `@Injectable` to be statically analyzable by ngc.

This commit reduces the error into a warning
if the constructor parameters do not meet this condition.

DEPRECATION:
- Classes annotated with `@Injectable` but whose constructor’s parameter types
are not statically analyzable by ngc will produce a warning.

Tobias Bosch cdc882bd36 feat: introduce source maps for templates (#15011)
The main use case for the generated source maps is to give

* renamed virtual folders used for jit:
  * ng://<module type>/module.ngfactory.js
  * ng://<module type>/<comp type>.ngfactory.js
  * ng://<module type>/<comp type>.html (for inline templates)
* error logging:
  * all errors that happen in templates are logged
from the place of the nearest element.
  * instead of logging error messages and stacks separately,
we log the actual error. This is needed so that browsers apply
source maps to the stack correctly.
  * error type and error is logged as one log entry.

Note that long-stack-trace zone has a bug that
disables source maps for stack traces,
