Sonu Kapoor def4127bf1 fix(docs-infra): convert hard-coded `comparing-observables` examples into a proper mini-app (#34327) 
Previously, the examples in the `comparing-observables` guide were hard-coded.
This made it impossible to test them and verify they are correct.

This commit fixes this by converting them into a proper mini-app. In a
subsequent commit, tests will be added to verify that the source code
works as expected (and guard against regressions).

Sonu Kapoor 15ae924035 fix(docs-infra): convert hard-coded `cli-builder` examples into a proper mini-app (#34362) 
Previously, the examples in the `cli-builder` guide were hard-coded.
This made it impossible to test them and verify they are correct.

This commit fixes this by converting them into a proper mini-app. In a
subsequent commit, tests will be added to verify that the source code
works as expected (and guard against regressions).

Filipe Silva f5a4de7428 test(docs-infra): compile only app for examples with no e2e (#33717) 
With TS 3.7, these examples were running into the error below (e.g. on https://circleci.com/gh/angular/angular/574906#tests/containers/0):

This happened because of https://github.com/angular/protractor/issues/5348.

It's unclear why this typings problem does not affect `ng e2e` runs, and only affects `tsc` runs.

For now it seems sensible to alter the tests to compile only the app and not the e2e, since the intent of 2cc954d5a5 was never to verify the correctness of the e2e in the first place.

We still need a release of protractor that supports TS 3.7 though, but at least it doesn't seem to block our update proper.

Sonu Kapoor 2cc954d5a5 test(docs-infra): ensure RxJS-related docs examples can compile without errors (#34063) 
Previously, some RxJS-related examples (which are not proper Angular apps) were not
tested on CI as part of the `example-e2e` npm script. This meant that the examples
could get out-of-date or contain compile errors without as noticing.

This commit ensures that the `example-e2e` script picks up these examples and checks
that they compile successfully.

Partly addresses #28017.

George Kalpakas 27562e92db fix(docs-infra): fix StackBlitz and zipped `http` examples (#33941) 
Previously, the generated StackBlitz examples as well as the
corresponding downloadable zips for the `http` guide examples were not
correct and thus trying to run the app and/or tests would fail.

This commit fixes the examples:

- Replace `TestBed.inject()` (which was [introduced in v9][1]) with
  `TestBed.get()` (which is available in v8 used in the examples).
  (NOTE: The examples will soon be updated to v9 (as part of
  [FW-1609][2] and switched back to `TestBed.inject()` then.)

- Include `src/app/heroes/hero.ts` in the zip, because it is referenced
  by some of the other files and the compilation fails without it.

- Ensure `src/main-specs.ts` is not included in the zip that does not
  include the tests. Including the file broke the app, because there is
  logic in our zip-builder that renamed `main-*.ts` files to `main.ts`
  and thus `main-specs.ts` ended up overwriting the actual `main.ts`.

Alex Rickabaugh ec4381dd40 feat: make the Ivy compiler the default for ngc (#32219) 
This commit switches the default value of the enableIvy flag to true.
Applications that run ngc will now by default receive an Ivy build!

This does not affect the way Bazel builds in the Angular repo work, since
those are still switched based on the value of the --define=compile flag.
Additionally, projects using @angular/bazel still use View Engine builds
by default.

Since most of the Angular repo tests are still written against View Engine
(particularly because we still publish VE packages to NPM), this switch
also requires lots of `enableIvy: false` flags in tsconfigs throughout the
repo.

Congrats to the team for reaching this milestone!

George Kalpakas 8b94d6a402 build(docs-infra): remove unused StackBlitz/ZIP configurations for `setup` example (#31937) 
The generated StackBlitz project and ZIP archives are no longer used
(and they are broken anyway), so removing them altogether to avoid
confusion.

Note: Still keeping the example project, because that is referenced in
the `setup` guide.

Alex Rickabaugh 84dd2679a9 fix(core): require 'static' flag on queries in typings (#30639) 
This commit makes the static flag on @ViewChild and @ContentChild required.

BREAKING CHANGE:

In Angular version 8, it's required that all @ViewChild and @ContentChild
queries have a 'static' flag specifying whether the query is 'static' or
'dynamic'. The compiler previously sorted queries automatically, but in
8.0 developers are required to explicitly specify which behavior is wanted.
This is a temporary requirement as part of a migration; see
https://angular.io/guide/static-query-migration for more details.

@ViewChildren and @ContentChildren queries are always dynamic, and so are
unaffected.

after reading the context. there are  some clues to infer the payload should be the `item`, not `item.name`.
1.  EventEmitter<Item>.
2.  the desc say that:
The component defines a deleteRequest property that returns an EventEmitter. When the user clicks delete, the component invokes the delete() method, telling the EventEmitter to emit an **Item** object.

George Kalpakas 2dc4e8801c ci(docs-infra): loosen conditions to reduce flakiness on CI (#29757) 
The exact messages depend on the timing of several events and may vary
between runs. This occasionally causes flakes on CI.
This commit reduces the risk of flakes by loosen the conditions to only
check for what we actually care about.

Changes:
- Change the project type to `service-worker`, so that it gets
  appropriate `package.json` (with `@angular/service-worker` dependency)
  and `angular.json` (with `serviceWorker: true` in production config).
- Move `ngsw-config.json` to the correct directory.
- Specify custom test commands for aio's `yarn example-e2e` to also
  verify that the ServiceWorker bits are set up correctly.

The existing example makes it seem like zip is a pipeable operator. It can be used this way, but I think that is for backwards compatibility. You can achieve the same functionality by using it as an Observable creator. I think this also makes the example clearer.

George Kalpakas 1c533c913d build(docs-infra): add support for examples of type `elements` (#24840) 
Examples using `@angular/elements` need to transpile to es2015 for
Custom Elements to work (on browsers that natively support them).

Alternatively, a polyfill would need to be loaded. For now, changing the
transpilation target to es2015 is the simplest solution.

George Kalpakas 1d378e2987 fix(service-worker): deprecate `versionedFiles` in asset-group resources (#23584) 
Since `versionedFiles` behaves in the exact same way as `files`, there
is no reaason to have both. Users should use `files` instead.

This commit deprecates the property and prints a warning when coming
across an asset-group that uses it. It should be completely removed in
a future version.

Note, it has also been removed from the default `ngsw-config.json`
template in angular/devkit#754.

Matias Niemelä f5a98f41fe fix(core): remove core animation import symbols (#22692) 
This patch removes the deprecated support for animation
symbol imports from @angular/core.

BREAKING CHANGE: it is no longer possible to import
animation-related functions from @angular/core. All
animation symbols must now be imported from @angular/animations.
